Pouto Point and the Pouto Peninsula boast masses of sand dunes and sandy shores. Around 50 minutes south of Dargaville, this west coast oasis is a bit of a hidden treasure. The Pouto Point lighthouse sits exposed to the elements, where you can perch up on the sand dunes for an amazing view of the lighthouse and the horizon. This is the beach picnic spot you never knew existed!
